When Talbott Ottinger moved from Louisiana to Nashville, TN, he realized that Nashville did not have the type of chicken which he craved, so he decided that it was his duty to create one. While there were other chicken tender concepts in the Southeast, Talbott still felt like the chicken tender and its many fans deserved better. After numerous discussions with his brother Stuart, they set out to create what they wanted in a chicken tender restaurant and created OTTER’S CHICKEN TENDERS.
The brothers convinced childhood friend Charlie Fitzgerald and Stuart’s college roommate, Steve Logan, to embark on making the best chicken around. So with a nod to the brother’s last name and an ode to Animal House rush chairman “Otter” Stratton, Otter’s Chicken Tenders was born.
Since September 26th, 2003, Otter’s has found that many people crave quality chicken in a laid back sports themed restaurant. From young mothers on the go, college kids looking for quick bite, office managers looking to cater lunch for all their co-workers, businessmen looking for a fast lunch, families looking for a relaxing meal or any sports fan that wants to enjoy a bucket of beers and watch a game on one of the many flat screens located around the restaurants.
From its inception, the founders of Otter’s Chicken Tenders have always tried to keep things simple to ensure quality food in a great atmosphere. Otter’s cooks everything to order and uses only the highest quality chicken tenders served in a variety of ways. All chicken fans have options with your choice of fried, grilled, or buffalo chicken tenders, served in boxes, wraps, sandwiches, or salads.
